Installation of University Of Moratuwa Toastmasters club

It was a great opportunity for our club to get the necessary exposure and i dare say, we did grab it with both hands.

We met the VC, dean and the head department of the CSE. Apart from this the speeches that we heard inspired us to strive to achieve higher heights for the club.

Meeting number 85

The highlight of the 85th gavel meeting was the superb ice breaker done by Niles Perera. The topic for round robin session was What to do when we are stressed out.

The topics for the table topics session was well rounded and speakable. Their were 8 speeches at the round robin session. The evaluators were thusitha and harinda.

The prepared speech evaluation by erangi was simply awesome.

Ajanthan was very critical in his general evaluation. Here he unfairly criticized the timer for forgetting to time the prepared speech though he didn't have any proof to prove the point. Apart from that small mistake it was another comprehensive evaluation by ajanthan.
The meeting ended by announcing all members to participate at the speak olympiad 2009.

It was followed by a meeting of the organizers of the SO4 competition.

HARINDA PLEASE UPLOAD NILES ICE BREAKER HERE AND DELETE THIS pls.

Meeting number 83

The meeting was a major success with a record attendance. As i predicted almost 30 students didn't have chairs to sit on and had to stand.

The educational value and the fun was balanced and everything was organized like clock work. Unlike our super junior batch i could feel that the heart beat of these freshers beat synchronously to ours and the club. If we can get some good dedicated members from this batch we could rest assured that we did our part. The future of the club will rest on the shoulders of these freshers. So its our duty to ensure that we cultivate them to bear this responsiblity.
